If you want pretentious, Stacy's is not for you. Stopped in here on my trek across middle America and you know what? Middle America was here! If you want some excellent homemade breakfast that is reasonable, this is the place. My viewpoint is that if the locals eat here, it must be good. Yes, it was full of farmers, cow-punchers and locals fueling up before starting their day...okay, maybe they are the lazy ones... In any case, we had the biscuits and gravy, ham and cheese omelette and they were incredible. Bypass the chains, the golden arches and all the others and stop in here. Very reasonable prices, great (and fast) service and who knows - you may learn the difference between cow hay and horse hay. This place is tops.

Great breakfast joint. Very homemade. A little on the spendy side, but it is good. It has a homey feel, like you - and 50(ish) of your friends are at your family home to enjoy a homecooked meal.

Get whatever they have as a special for lunch or the snack! This pace is fast you will be in and out quick. For breakfast try everything once. I love the mushroom and cheese omelette, cornbeef hash and giant cinnamon roll. Hot roast beef sandwich is great too!

Love this place! Great mom and pop style restaurant and the service is great. The environment is soothing

Rundown looking shack...out dated! Nearly $1.50 for a regular cup if coffee! $3.00 for "3" pieces of bacon! Yes you read that right! Lowsy reception and mediocre customer service...not very tolerant to new and undecided patrons. Two eggs, soggy butter soaked toast and three pieces of sausage = $11.00 that includes the coffee and a dollar and change tip. Also...they have non-dairy creamer on the table...only listed ingredient on little package was....wait for it.....MILK! How is milk non dairy? Food: i asked for thoroughly cooked scrambled eggs...i got slimy and cooking spray soaked chopped strips of eggs. Toast was soaked thru with butter, sausage links were seared on the outside but gummy and undercooked on the inside.Anyway...not a great place for a calm peaceful or relaxing environment...back room seating with only 10-15 people gets incredibly loud...capacity is maybe 30. Uncomfortable environment and outrageous pricing! Would have settled for a McDonald's breakfast platter as an alternative.

Absolutely LOVE Stacy's! We had quite a few meals there during our 2 years living in JC, and enjoyed every bite. Quick and courteous service and a very friendly staff. From the outside it would appear to be an older, mom-n-pop type business and you can tell there has been good upkeep but not a lot of changes. But that's what makes it feel so cozy and comfortable when you go in for a meal. The food is always spot on and the waitresses are nearly always up for a quick chat. Definitely recommend it for a tasty and inexpensive meal.

Been hearing about this place for a time so while in JC today I decided to give it a go. Great old diner atmosphere. While mostly the older crowd there were younger people there too (so don't think it's seniors only like some reviews make it out to be). Good prices for what you get as well. Chicken Fried steak was great and steamed carrots were just right too.

I liked this cute little diner. I can tell they have not updated much, which I like because it makes me feel like I'm traveling back in time. The service is basic. You come in receive a greeting and are told to sit anywhere. The drinks and food arrive quickly as with most diners. The food itself is quite tasty and definitely brings memories of Sunday morning breakfast as a kid. Picture the fluffiest of pancakes with eggs scrambled to perfection. Like other reviewers have noted, the hash browns were not greasy! I have to mention I ate everything on my plate and this diner was one of the few that didn't send me to the bathroom right away. Side note: for some reason diner food sends me to the bathroom immediately after eating. Do they cook with laxatives? Who knows? Might just be me though. I would have liked to give Stacy's more stars, but I didn't for the following reasons: 1. I asked the waitress if they could make chocolate chip pancakes, but they do not make chocolate chip pancakes! Call me spoiled, but every diner should have chocolate chips. 2. Limited hours. I am used to 24 hour diners. I also can eat breakfast food at any time during the day and know others who are the same. Being that the location is off a major highway, you would think it would be open at least a little longer. Yet, this is a mom and pop business, so I can give them too much of a hard time for that. Overall, I recommend Stacy's if you're in the area wanting breakfast during normal breakfast hours.

Great food and service always, a little crowded most of the time, but worth the wait. Especially seeing so many familiar faces

Great family style cooking with a hometown atmosphere. Great servers with plenty of smile and personal attention even during the lunch rush. Simple menu at decent prices. Awesome experience again and again!!

Stacy's is my favorite place to grab breakfast! The biscuits and gravy is my favorite, the service is always good. The husband and I go out to eat there every week! This place is a must try! It doesn't look like much but the food is great! Large portions and great price.

Seriously don't know what the hype is all about at this place. This place is dirty, the staffs are rude, and the food is disgusting. We waited almost an hour for our food and my salad came out looking like it's been sitting in the back sun bathing for a few days. Chicken fried steak has no flavor, coffee is plain. Save your time and money and cook it yourself or go to Denny's.

This was ok food. My omelet was overcooked and my hash browns were mushy. Toast was cold. And service was soso. Not a favorite or fan of this place.

This place is amazing for what else is out there in Junction City. Everything is reasonably priced and cooked to order. I usually get the hungry man breakfast which consist of two eggs, bacon, sausage(you can either get links or patty) and ham. For an extra dollar you can hash browns. I have also gotten a few of their burgers. Their food is amazing and so are their prices. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because they di have limited seating. I have suggested this to a few people and they have loved it.

I love this place! For good breakfast food go here! It has a homey feel, service is quick, and the food is good. Don't be fooled, non-breakfast items are good as well. This is a local favorite for many local military members. I will miss it once I leave.

Amazing homemade food the bacon from the butcher shop not processed store stuff and crust on the pie is rolled and pinched homemade. You know the coffee is good when the ranchers have there own table. Do not miss breakfast here if your on the road it's right on 70.

I really liked Stacy's Restaurant. It reminded me of my hometown cafe growing up. No one was smoking during my visit, so they may have changed their policies; there were no ashtrays on the tables. The food was good, comfort food, and service was fine. I'll stop here again if I have to fill up with gas, or I'm hungry and in the area. Support local businesses! :)

This is a lot of fun as a throw back sort of restaurant. It is Junction City away from the Base-locals. I loved the hashbrowns, which my husband hated. They were fluffy and not greasy. Apparently for lunch they have real homemade fries. So food is a good deal, it's not smoky anymore, but it is what it is.

This is your perfect mom and pop restaurant. It is inexpensive, the food is good, and the service is also good. This is by far the best Biscuits and gravy in the area. Additionally this restaurant participates in restaurant.com gift certificates. I highly recommend the $15 gift certificate for the value. The atmosphere is casual, and you can expect the service to be decent. The pace of meal is rushed, as you would expect from a small mom and pop restaurant. Overall experience was excellent. If you live in Manhattan or Junction City, I highly recommend the restaurant.

Food is average. Cockroach ran along the wall right by my head and my husband got food poisoning. We won't be back.

this place is good old fashion dining, the food is great prices and portion is good.. however the environments a little odd, first off alot of elderly people and basically if ur not white people will stare at ur every bite...other than that place is a 7/10

We love Stacey's - it's a great spot for locals but we were welcomed with open arms when we first moved to the area. Good mix of old timers and military folks. For people complaining about greasy food - it's a DINER, people! That's what you get. The cinnamon rolls are delicious, I definitely recommend it.

The atmosphere is like an old diner and I liked it. The service was friendly and quick, too. They have a sit anywhere policy, so we picked a booth and were immediately asked for our drink orders. The two of us ended up splitting the large breakfast sampler (I can't remember the name of it). It came with eggs, sausage, and bacon. You got your choice of toast, pancake, or english muffin and we chose the pancake, which was light and fluffy. We added hashbrowns, which were good and not overly greasy. They only give one refill on your coffee, though. I would definitely stop here again for breakfast. All of the food was very good!

I haven't eaten hear yet, but I hear good things. I went to enjoy the food at this place, but as soon as I walked in I turned right back around. You are allowed to smoke in there, but the ventilation sucks. I walked in and was hit by the disgusting smell. Too bad because I was really looking forward to eating here. And by the way it's 2010, who still smokes in a restaurant!? But I wrote this review for all the non-smokers so that you don't get your hopes up

Five stars for breakfast, three stars for lunch. This is just more of a breakfast spot for me. Love the steak and eggs! :)

Hubby and I were looking for a "home cooking" experience for brunch, and decided on Stacy's. It was a little blah. Waitstaff was nice enough, but food was super greasy and a bit bland. Also, I think we were the youngest people in there by about 50 years.

Good food. Just a down home local diner type place. Seat yourself and receive good service. It is now all non-smoking.

I used to head to Junction City three or four times a year for my job, and one of the highlights of the trip was being able to go to Stacy's for breakfast. The place is usually full early with local ranchers, farmers and soldiers from nearby Fort Riley. I almost always got the same thing, eggs over easy, chicken fried steak, hash browns and gravy poured over the entire place. Since I'm living in a part of the country where they know no other breakfast potato than Home Fries, I try to pork down as many plates of hash browns as is possible, and Stacy's does a solid, no frills hash brown. The chicken fried steak isn't the hockey puck you find out east in places that don't know better, but an actual steak. They still deep fry it, so points off for that, but it's light years better than the Cracker Barrel version. Sopping up the egg-yolky gravy with toast after putting away the breakfast is the cherry on top. It screams for unhealthy white bread toast. It's not the best breakfast in the world, but it's definitely one that will leave you happy and full.
